CADScript V10
CADscript is used to create high quality PostScript files from MicroStation, and allows you to work without colour or ordering restrictions within MicroStation DGN files. Desktop Publishing, presentations and high quality graphics are now all easily created in MicroStation with CADscript, no more translating data into other applications. The user can even define colors such as CMYK, and control overprinting, knockout and screen angles, process colors, spot colors and registration marks are all allowed for. CADscript enables special effects to be added to elements, such as graduated, radiated and halo color fills, plus transparency, produce or combine.eps files in MicroroStation and a host of other productivity tools. As we use PostScript, our text output is the best available. This is particularly noticeable at either very large or very small text sizes. CADscript provides a WYSIWYG work environment for MicroStation users, so what you drawn on-screen is what you get on your print. Re-ordering of DGN elements is easy, whether raising or lowering to the front or back, plus element re-symboloisation has never been easier. No more wondering what your DGN file is going to look like on your hardcopy print. Text and cell plot size can be maintained across different plot scales. Verison 10 new features: New gradient fills One sided halo tool Distance defined halos Improved radiated fills - origin of radiations are now relative to element size Image compression options for Raster Images Global GAMMA correction Text substitution keys can now be placed anywhere in a text string Improved scale functionality when printing New GUI for Table Ordering and Table Symbology dialogue boxes Scale factor in Print Page setup now represents "True Scale", as in maps The use of Microstation colour tables is now prevented by default when the current DGN has a CADScripr colour table attached New cell featutres in Table Ordering and Symbology CSSTYLE and CSWEIGHT "filename" keyins now available Default Table Ordering feature for named output Fill and Outline text now added in Table Symbology Ellipse scaling now available in Table Symbology New rotation feature in Print Dialogue box CADScript Features WYSIWYG Know what your hardcopy DGN file will look like before you plot. Reliable compact PostScript output from MicroStation. PostScript plots can contain very high quality text, large filled areas, graduated colour fills and combined raster and vector data. Transparent Fills can be used to allow raster or vector details to show through. Element ordering for plotting, by ‘raise to top’ commands, or table ordering. Flexible Text, where text can be placed along features such as roads or rivers, where that text can be edited as a string, and ‘stretched’ and ‘slid’ along an editable curve. CADscript allows text to be solid, outlined, or filled and outlined, and can even produce graduated colour filled text. Elements around text can be masked for clarity. Create monochrome, colour or four-colour process output. Send files to all PostScript devices such as laser printers, colour laser printers, inkjet plotters, film recorders and image-setters. Resolution can be between 300dpi for lasers to 5000 dpi for high-end image-setters. CADscript allow colours to be defined on a CMYK basis, and nominated for separations as process colours, spot colours, sub-spots or registration colours. Colours and other symbology of elements can be modified at plot time by symbology tables. EPS files can be produced for exporting to other DTP programs. Placement of EPS files in MicroStation. 4 Colour Separations including Spot colours. Simple but effective tools for reordering element on screen. Table ordering to prioritize elements simply. Table Symbology for easy re-symbolization. Table Masking to clip elements behind text without modifying the design file. Includes PostScript font library and allows for inclusion of new High Quality PostScript fonts. Compact and Reliable output of raster images from MicroStation. Includes FlexiText utility to dynamically place, edit and modify text along a curve. Special printing on non-standard European characters. Printing of fractions not available in font libraries. Correct clipping of associative patterning containing filled elements. Easily configurable through dialog boxes. |
